Dan Oliver
Founding partner Daniel, and his wife Sioned, immigrated to New Zealand (from the UK) with their two daughters in 2011. Dan started a bathroom and kitchen renovation company in Auckland , which proved to be hugely successful and was sold as a going concern. The family then made the move, which had been on their minds for years, and migrated to beautiful Hawkes Bay.
Dan then established another highly successful renovation company in Napier and sold this business to his long standing business partners in October 2022.
Around the same time, Dan and his wife Sioned decided to do "their bit" with regards to climate change and decided to have solar panels installed on their home on Hospital Hill in Napier.
Having then experienced the shortcomings in almost every aspect of the solar energy process, (from the choosing of a system suited to his families needs, right through to the panel installation itself), Dan decided to act.
Dan’s roles in Solar Colab are to oversee new business and project management, as well as coordinating the day-to-day operations of the company.
Dan Tosswill
Founding partner Dan Tosswill lives in Napier with his wife Joanna and their three children. Both Dan and Joanna grew up in Hawkes Bay and after some amazing experiences traveling the world, returned to live in Hawkes Bay in 2011.
Dan has been lucky enough to have created and been involved with multiple successful small businesses across a variety of of industries including hospitality and FMCG/Grocery.
While renovating their family home in 2021, Dan took the opportunity to research renewable energy solutions for their family home and found he had such a passion for the industry that he decided to create a business in it.
Dan loves nothing more than introducing people to this rapidly changing industry and helping them on their journey to creating solutions that suit them and their families or businesses.
